A short trip up into the hills of California and you come across a beautiful stretch of the American River just out side the town of Coloma. This place has so many activities to do from White Water Rafting to visiting Sutter's Mill where GOLD was first discovered in California. If you prefer you can just lounge next to the river or have a family BBQ then you can visit the museum that is located just a short walk up the road. This is a very scenic area and I recommend it to anyone.
